Lovers of The Great British Sewing Bee will understand the ‘Alteration Challenge’ – taking something old and making it beautiful again. Here I took a vintage wedding dress, complete with a huge skirt and bows on the sleeves. I wanted Kat to have an 1980s style, which is why I dropped the waist and used the bow from one of the sleeves. I used as much of the old dress as I possibly could. So the petticoats were shortened and I added some bright binding to the edges. Finished off with sequined Converse and the look is complete.
