Shannon started as a bit of an indulgence for me. I was convinced that the ombre petticoat would be a great start point for a wedding dress and the design grew from this. I wanted the dress to look traditional, but with a ‘cheeky’ edge. At the time I was going through a bit of a tulle phase. Tulle just wafts around in the breeze and its so romantic. To finish, I had some appliques, sequins and beads left over from another dress, so I layered them onto the bodice.
